HCC recognized “Sanctity of Human Life Sunday”. It is observed each year to affirm the biblical truth that every human life is sacred and created in the image of God. It began in the United States following the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, as churches set aside time to reflect on God’s value for human life from conception to natural death. The purpose of this observance is to call believers to gratitude for God’s gift of life, to encourage compassion and care for the vulnerable, and to reaffirm a commitment to uphold life with love, truth, and grace.
