Pastor Matthew and Danielle hosted a dinner to celebrate the Good News Club workers at Murphy Elementary School [Barb, Beryl (unpictured), Brenda, and Chris] as well as the wonderful Custodians of HCC (Brenda, Chris, and Gary). HCC is blessed to have such faithful workers!
During the Sunday Morning service on Easter – Pastor Matthew shared a song and Brenda Reamer shared a poem. Theme was “We are Here”. The service reminded the congregation that as a result of Christ’s resurrection we are here for a purpose.
During the Easter Breakfast, a program was presented. It featured a presentation about the women at the tomb. Linda B, Chris M, Abby O, and Danielle O shared the experiences of these women. Pastor Matthew also shared a devotion as well as Scripture and music.
Early on Easter Morning, HCC hosted the annual Easter Breakfast – we thank the Ladies Fellowship and Deacons (old and new) for providing and preparing the delicious opportunity to unite as believers and celebrate the Resurrection.
A few members of our ‘Two Have Become One Again’ group — name change coming soon — met after the Good Friday service for a time of fellowship at Pueblo Viejo in Lapeer, MI.
At the conclusion of the PM Sermon Series, “Encounters with Jesus,” Sandi E shared her personal encounter with the Lord.
At the end of open pickleball, Dave and Gary hit the ball a few times.
HCC hosted an Easter party to celebrate the truth that Jesus is alive! The event had games, music, snacks, crafts, the Easter Story, and an Easter Egg Hunt!
The March meeting of HCC’s Ladies Fellowship was exciting. The group created Easter Baskets for our church’s shut-in community. Also, Tamra H shared an encouraging devotion. HCC’s Second Half Trip journeyed north to Saginaw. The group visited the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History. Following the trip, the group also had lunch at Fuzzy’s Restaurant. Next month, the group will visit the Dow Gardens in Midland and have lunch at Krzysiak House Restaurant.
