During the morning of Tuesday, July 26 – a group from HCC journey to Carriage Town Ministries in Flint, MI for a service project. The event was organized HCC Trustee Vice Chairman, David Harrington. While at CTM, the group created “Taste of Carriage Town” Lunchboxes. These boxes included: a delicious chicken salad sandwich; three Blueline donut holes; two salads; and chips. After completing that project, the group worked to make back-to-school backpacks. These backpacks contained essential school supplies. The trip was a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ with others. Future trips are being planned, so please plan to participate.

Keepers of the Kingdom – VBS 2023
Hadley Community Church was blessed to welcome forty students for a festival of faith! During the five day event, the students learned that they had to decide in which of two kingdoms they would live. They considered the choices that the make. They also learned about using the Bible to stand against the lies of the world. Dozens of volunteers from HCC helped to make the event truly memorable. We pray that the lessons learned will have an eternal impact on the students and their families.
HCC on PARADE
The Youth Group of HCC joined dozens of other entries in Hadley’s Independence Day Parade. The event took place on a beautiful and warm Tuesday afternoon. Thousands of people lined the streets of Hadley. HCC’s float was a castle which featured the creative work of numerous members of the youth (under the leadership of Youth Pastor Thomas Tatro). The design was created by HCC’s Connie Moore and Nathan Mausolf.

SERMON SERIES: The Problem With Pride
In a world that encourages the promotion and celebration of self, it is important to remember that God’s word calls us to lay aside our selfish ambitions. Throughout this month, we are going to explore the problem of impact that pride has on us. It prevents us from making progress. It causes self-deception. It leads us to reject the Word of God. Is it any wonder that God urges us to be people of humility?
