


The evening service for Sunday, March 17 featured a time of fellowship, music, and a message delivered by Pastor Coleman in the fellowship hall. This event was a fun and encouraging time for HCC.




Although VBS is not until July – the VBS team at HCC is already busily working to prepare for this year’s event. Please be in prayer for those participating and leading this special outreach ministry. Also – make sure to invite the children in your life. During the event on Tuesday, March 12, more than sixty-two meals were served. The event featured a presentation by Metamora Officer Craig Miller who shared tips to avoid phone scams and other schemes that seek to victimize seniors. During the meeting, some Irish “gag” gift / door prizes – Irish Spring soap and Lucky Charms Cereal.






On Sunday, March 10: Forty-five members of HCC made the four mile trip north to Elba to support the Elba Fire Department’s semi-annual Pancake Breakfast. The volunteers of the Fire Department offered pancakes, sausage, eggs, as well as multiple beverages. We thanks CONNIE REYNOLDS – our Church Secretary – for organizing our participation.







On Saturday, March 9 – two dozen attenders from HCC united to get to know their deacon (Dave Harrington) better. The event featured a wonderful meal prepared by Sue Harrington. During the time, Pastor Matthew discussed the qualifications and role of a deacon in the local church. Then, Dave shared some personal background and insights into his philosophy. Then, the group played a simple game designed to help them get to know each other better.











Several of the ladies of HCC united for a time of fellowship and encouragement on Friday, March 8. The meeting featured a nice meal, a instructive program, and a project. The group meets monthly- alternating between mornings and evenings.
On Wednesday, February 14 – HCC hosted an evening of fellowship. Participants brought snacks to share. Dozens of individuals participated. Featured was a game called “Playing Favorites” where attenders were invited to identify the “favorites” (ice cream, color, etc) of other church members. For example, Kent Copeman’s favorite ice cream flavor is VANILLA!! The group also participated in a “Sword Drill” where Bible verses on love were found. Thanks to all that attended and participated.
