Several members and friends of HCC took a trip to the Country View Bulk Food Store. This popular location (sometimes referred to as the ‘Mennonite Store’ features many unique items.

HCC hosted its annual TRUNK OR TREAT event. More than 300 children attended during the beautiful night!

HCC invites you to this safe and fun event. On Thursday, October 31 beginning at 6pm – HCC will offer hot dogs, chips, water, and CANDY to those that stop by!

HCC marked the 189th anniversary of ministry in Hadley Twp, MI. The day was filled with many wonderfully encouraging moments. David Ivory Sr was presented with a quilt in honor of his retirement after 60 years of service to the local Fire Department. The congregation welcomed 10 new and returning members. The new church sign was dedicated. A delicious potluck luncheon was served. A church familiar portrait was taken. And a new pictoral church directory was distributed.

HCC’s Two Have Become One Again (our widows/widowers ministry) hosted a game night. During the event, tasty snacks were shared. Two games were played. First, FLIP 7 is a game that involves chance and courage. The first person to collect seven cards (without getting a double) wins 15 bonus points. The second game was called HOT SEAT. It gave the participants an opportunity to get to know each other better.

Some of the youth assisted the Hadley Twp Lion’s Club in serving their monthly spaghetti dinner. This event has taken place for about 25 years. The youth served for three hours and they actually enjoyed the time.

HCC has a team that leads GOOD NEWS CLUB (a ministry affiliated with Child Evangelism Fellowship). Pray for the students that come to learn about the Bible and what Jesus has done for them!

In an effort to show their appreciation for the support and encouragement given by the congregation throughout the year, Pastor Matthew and Danielle provided special treats throughout the month. For the Sunday school, they brought donuts from Max’s in Lapeer. For the AM service, they brought mini breads (blueberry, banana, strawberry, lemon). They also had the opportunity to attend the semi-annual IFCA regional meeting at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp (near East Jordan, MI).

A couple of the HCC youth and their leaders traveled north of Lapeer to journey through a corn maze. This maze (at Fick Farms) featured a mystery to be solved through the collection of clues. After about an hour, the youth were able to solve the mystery.

Four members of HCC served at the annual LAPEER NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBOR event. This event offers important material items as well as access to services for the people of Lapeer.
