HCC hosted its annual Grand Prix / Pinewood Derby Race. The event featured many entries with very creative designs. Winners were designated for both design and speed. The top design had the appearance of a banana. There was also a Mystery Machine (made famous by Scooby Doo) as well as a mouse trap, shoe, flag, fish, firetruck, and two unicorns. We thank the Coreys and Reamers for all their efforts in preparing the event. HCC is also thankful for Ladies Fellowship which organized the event.

Arts and Crafts Club

Another Hadley Summer Club met on June 8. The group made decorative crafts to celebrate Independence Day. The craft night was led by Danielle Coleman. Each person brought a dish to share for a potluck. The next craft event will take place in August.

New Wednesday Bible Study

Wednesday – June 5 – HCC will begin a new SUMMER BIBLE STUDY that will explore evidence that supports the accounts of Genesis. This study will feature video clips from the recent documentary, The Ark and the Darkness, which was produced in association with Genesis Apologetics, Answers in Genesis, and Liberty University. The study will begin with a simple meal at 6:30 PM – followed by the study at 7 PM. The meeting will conclude with a time of prayer.

Walk and Talk – June 2024

The weather for the June “Walk and Talk” was beautiful – upper 70s and a light breeze. The group included three dogs – Troulee, Grace, and Song! The event provided an opportunity for some exercise as well as a time to visit and pray.

HCC Youth Visit the Historic Hadley Mill

HCC Youth were spotted at the Historic Hadley Mill’s Grand Old Day in Hadley event. While there, they were available to help with the games. They also had an opportunity to visit with some other HCC members. The group also toured the new art exhibit located south of HCC.

Picnic, Praise, and Prayer – Remembering our Heroes

During the evening of Sunday, May 26 – the congregation of HCC held a “Picnic, Praise, and Prayer” event. This night featured a time to write letters of appreciation to members of the American military, as well as poems and readings that reflected on the purpose of Memorial Day. The event also featured an indoor “picnic”.
