Several congregants from HCC united to WALK AND TALK on Monday, May 6. The group walked about 2 miles, but they also spent time praying for each other’s concerns.

On Sunday, May 5 – HCC was pleased to welcome the return of mission partner, Tony Evans. Mr. Evans is the Director of Mission Voice Network. MVN works to bring the gospel to the lost people of India.

In response to the call to serve, HCC Youth cleaned the local picnic shelter behind the Historical Hadley Mill.

Pastor Matthew and several members of HCC attended and participated in the National Day of Prayer event held at the Lapeer High School on May 2. The event featured dozens of local pastors and leaders leading prayer on numerous topics.

May’s Young At Heart Luncheon will feature a presentation by Andrea Henderson. She is the director of The Refuge of Lapeer. This organization seeks to assist those who find themselves displaced or homeless.

Hadley Community Church is pleased to welcome Tony Evans, director of Mission Voice Network’s India Ministries. Mr. Evans will share about the ministry during Sunday school (9AM) as well as in the worship service (10 AM).

For two years, HCC has been blessed by the selfless service of our office coordinator, Sharon Frisch. She and her family have allowed God to use their gifts to benefit the congregation of HCC as well as the community of Hadley. As we celebrate “Administrative Professionals’ Day” – we acknowledge the many ways that Sharon has epitomized professionalism. But we celebrate even more the way she has served as an example of Christ and His unconditional love for all.

HCC united on Saturday, April 20 for a time of fellowship, food, and faith. HCC’s GAME SHOW NIGHT challenged participants with Bible versions of five of our favorite Game Shows, including: Let’s Make a Deal; Wheel of Fortune; Match Game; Family Feud; and Jeopardy. The winning team was SOLOMON’S SCHOLARS!

The April Young at Heart Luncheon featured a delicious ham lunch. The highlight, however, was a presentation by Dzvinka Hayda. Mrs. Hayda is a gifted author, illustrator, and storyteller. During the program, she shared about the Easter traditions of Ukraine. She presented HCC a copy of one of her books, Dzvinya’s Gift for Mama.

Glenn and Cheryl Walton hosted “Dine with a Deacon” on April 6 at HCC. This event provided an opportunity for church members and attenders to learn about their designated deacon. Glenn shared about his personal history and philosophy.
