HCC hosted its monthly Young at Heart Luncheon. The meal featured salad, baked pasta, vegetable medley, garlic bread, as well as delicious strawberry shortcake for dessert. Andrea Henderson from the Refuge of Lapeer shared about their ministry to those that are unhoused in Lapeer.

HCC Ladies Fellowship Presented Flowers

During the service on May 12, the ladies of HCC were celebrated. Flowers, candy, and gifts were shared to show how much we valued them. Three ladies “won”: a plant and gift card from Wojo’s; candy and a gift card from Meijer; and a gift card to McDonalds. Each lady who attended received a pansy of their choice and candy. HCC is blessed to include so many wonderfully gifted women!

Ladies Fellowship Meeting

Ladies Fellowship met in May for encouragement. As part of the meeting, the upcoming events were discussed (including the Ladies Tea on May 18). Sherry Trombley, executive director of the Pregnancy Center of Lapeer shared with the group.

Movie Club

As part of the Hadley Summer Supper Club, the HCC Movie Club met to enjoy a time of fellowship, an encouraging film, and interesting discussion. The next Movie Club meeting is in July.

Walk and Talk

Several congregants from HCC united to WALK AND TALK on Monday, May 6. The group walked about 2 miles, but they also spent time praying for each other’s concerns.
